Allen Truong is currently a senior at Sam Houston State University where he is focused on obtaining his BFA in Dance Performance.  While here, Allen has had the privilege to dance under such choreographers as Melissa Wynn, Dana Nicholay, and Hilary Bryan as a member of the SHSU Dance Company.  He was also honored to have danced in contemporary pieces as “Songs of Enchantment” which has been chosen to be performed at the American College Dance Festival Association.

Allen began his drum corps career marching with the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps in 2002.  From there, he took his passion of marching to the west coast to become a member of the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps where he stayed from 2003 through 2005.  Not without much thought, Allen then chose to end his drum corps career and age-out with the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps in the summer of 2006.  Allen is currently a marching member as well as designer for the Code Black Independent Winterguard.  His winterguard career also includes marching with such programs as Nolan World and Emblem281, which can also be regarded as Fortitude Winterguard the year after.

When he has time outside of the studios, Allen enjoys teaching students the artistry of what is known as color guard and dance.  He has worked with such programs as Brazosport High School, Brazoswood High School, Frostproof High School and is currently the choreographer and instructor for The Woodlands College Park High School alongside Theresa Robertson.
